On **September 11–12, 2026**, Arad will host the **4th edition of the Friendship Cup**, an international tournament dedicated to amateur basketball, where the final score is not the most important thing.
The Friendship Cup was created to bring together people who share the same passion for basketball, for a weekend where **sport, friendship and socializing** go hand in hand. The experience continues after the final whistle, giving players and participants the opportunity to spend time together and build friendships beyond the basketball court.
The organizers from Arad traditionally include the tournament as part of the **Hungarian Days of Arad**, adding a cultural and community dimension to the event.
The 2026 edition will bring together four teams from **Romania and Serbia**: **SCHMAC Cluj-Napoca**, **Lions Arad**, **Plumbers Arad**, and **KK Bajša** from Serbia, in the Bačka Topola region.
**The Friendship Cup is more than basketball: games on the court, friendships off the court, and people united by the same passion.**
